How it works

Three steps,no arguments

Most disputes start with “I never agreed to that.” Stampwork puts every agreement in writing as the job goes, so there's nothing to argue about at the end.

  1. 01 · Before you start

    Agree the scope

Break the job into stages with a price for each. Your client reads it and agrees from the link you send.

  2. 02 · As you go

    Approve each stage

Finish a stage, add photos and any paperwork, submit. Your client approves it, or flags what needs fixing, before you move on.

  3. 03 · When they pay

    Get paid, keep the record

Record each payment as it comes in. Your client gets a receipt, and the job ends with one signed-off record.

Built for real jobs

Jobs change.The record keeps up.

Extra work halfway through, a crew on site without you, a certificate to hand over. Each one goes on the same record, agreed the same way.

  • Change orders

Agree the change, not just the job

Add a stage, drop one or change a price. Your client agrees from the same link, and the original agreement stays on the record with every change after it.

  • Your crew

    Crew submit from site

Put crew on the jobs they're working. They add the photos and submit the stage, and never see your prices or your client's number.

  • Paperwork

    PDFs beside the photos

Attach the test certificate, the permit or the inspection report to the stage it belongs to. They're listed on the job record too.

  • Your window

    You set the clock

Choose how long your client has to respond on each job. When it runs out, the stage approves itself, and they get a reminder a day before.

Questions

Good to know

Do my clients need an account?

No. They get a private link by email and can agree the scope, approve stages and see receipts from any phone or computer.

Does Stampwork handle the money?

No. Your client pays you the way they always have, by bank transfer, card, check or cash. You record each payment in Stampwork, and your client gets a receipt.

What if my client doesn't respond?

They get a reminder, and a submitted stage approves itself after 72 hours. On Solo and Team you can set each job's window anywhere from 48 hours to 7 days. A quiet client can't hold up the job.

What if they flag a problem?

They say what's wrong, you fix it and resubmit with new photos. The whole back-and-forth stays on the job's record.

What if the job changes halfway?

Propose a change order: add a stage, drop one, or change a price. Your client agrees to it from the same link, the same way they agreed to the job. The original agreement stays on the record, with every change after it.

Can my crew use it? Do I pay for them?

Yes, and no. On Team, up to 15 people sign in as themselves for one price. Crew see only the jobs you put them on, submit stages from site, and never see your prices or your client's contact details.

What counts as an active job?

A job that's in progress. Once every stage is signed off and paid, it's finished and doesn't count, and its record stays for good.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Stampwork works in any phone browser today, and an iPhone and Android app is on the way.

When can I get in?

We're letting contractors in from the waitlist in small groups. Join and we'll email you when your spot opens.
